When buying or selling a home in the Hickory Cove subdivision please follow the below process to ensure the new homeowner is informed of their rights and responsibilities regarding the POA and determine if any assessments are due.
The affected area is any property along Hickory Cove Lane beyond the intersection with Barnhill Lane including all properties along Barnhill Lane.
Process
Step 1: Complete and submit the below form to request the disclosure package. While only a couple fields are required, omitted information may result in delays.
Step 2:. The HCPOA Secretary will respond to confirm the request, to clarify information and to advise when the Disclosure Package will be sent to the realtor. This document will detail any assessments that are due and will include items required per the Code of Virginia.
Step 3: Print the entire Disclosure Package, which will be provided as PDF files. Give the printed documents to the new property owner. Optionally HCPOA can provide printed documents to you for a $100 charge to cover our travel and copying expenses.
Step 4: Include any due/overdue assessments in the final settlement. Payment is to be made to prior to closing and is to be mailed to HCPOA, PO Box 849, Moneta VA, 24121.
Note: Typical response is 2 days, but may be longer as this is a volunteer organization.
